Randall Tipton’s landscape-based paintings allude to dreamlike states, as complex elements of light and depth are reduced to create a degree of abstraction amongst his recognizable scenes, suggesting something fundamental about nature. Christopher Mathie captures the essence of things by deconstructing images to their most important lines and organic forms - stylizing shapes, energetic movement and emotion into poetic impressions.
